For all Scholarship Applicants, the following prerequisites are mandatory:
- Child of a United States Naval Academy Graduate who lost his or her life as a result of combat action, in the line of duty, or a direct result of service in the U.S. Intelligence Community, Law Enforcement Agency, Emergency Medical Services, or as a First Responder, in the period following September 11th, 2001.
- Has Completed or is Presently Completing Junior Year of High School, or GED equivalency.
- Is currently applying to a post secondary degree program from an accredited two or four year college, university, technical, or trade school
